In addition to the other healing modalities I provide, I am also a registered Karuna Reiki® Master through The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). Karuna healing energy is a Reiki-like energy: it is life force energy that is guided by the higher power. The word Karuna means "compassionate action" and Karuna Reiki® can be defined as the Reiki of Compassion. William Lee Rand developed Karuna Reiki® and says it "evolved out of Usui and Tibetan Reiki from a desire and a knowingness that there is always something greater waiting to be uncovered."

This method of Reiki is said to provide a deeper and more complete healing process. During the treatment, the practitioner chants: the vibration of their voice becomes a physical carrier wave for the Karuna Reiki® energy to travel on and causes the healing energies to penetrate more deeply into the cells and tissues of the client's body.

What Can Karuna Reiki® Do?

Karuna Reiki®:

  • Helps release karma and deeply seated issues on the cellular level
  • Can be used to break up the negative patterns we unconsciously use to insulate ourselves from the truth, thus shattering delusion and denial
  • Fills the recipient with love and restores balance
  • Provides holistic healing and is a compliment to conventional or natural medicines and remedies
  • Those who have experienced this process report a feeling of becoming more awake, more alive and more completely healed
  • Through this modality, people have been known to connect with the healing energies of Kuan Yin and the other Bodhisattvas, as well as with the energies of many other enlightened beings

Karuna Reiki® Certification Workshops*

Celestial Illumination offers certification workshops in all levels of Karuna Reiki®. This method of Reiki requires an attunement in order to practice. Karuna Reiki® is not a substitute for Usui Reiki or any other kind of Reiki, but simply an additional technique one can use to promote healing.

*Prerequisite: This class is for anyone who has been a Usui Reiki Master for at least 6 months.
